Jay joined Colmena Group in 2023 as Vice President of Development. He brings more than 25 years of extensive experience working in all aspects of real estate development and acquisitions. He will be representing the Colmena team as our lead on The Point project in Draper, UT. 

Before joining Colmena, most recently, Jay was the Senior Vice President at Brue Baukol, a private equity group located in Denver, CO. Prior to Brue Baukol, Jayserved as President and Partner of Brinkman Real Estate Services in Fort Collins, CO. Jay has a wealth of experience with development, site analysis, acquisitions and proforma management. 

Jay loves being part of a team made up of people from diverse backgrounds, with assets they can share with others. He also has a passion for the process of mentorship and building a culture of teamwork. 

Jay has served in many community organizations including the Colorado Sports Hall of Fame, BBVA Compass Advisory Board, UC Health Foundation board. Additionally, Jay served as the Chair of the Colorado Workforce Development Council as an appointee of the Governor. 

Jay is a native of Colorado, born and raised in Boulder and is one of 6 boys in his family. Jay is married to Nancy and has 3 children. In his spare time, Jay enjoys cycling, being with his family and studying all things business, entrepreneurship, and real estate.
