Brian is a founding partner and the Chief Financial Officer of Colmena Group. He has been involved with Colmena-related entities since 1998, gaining extensive experience in accounting, equity sourcing, contract negotiation, audits, financial management, due diligence, operations, financing structures, asset valuation, investor reporting and marketing.

In addition to his real estate experience, Brian has developed successful business strategies managing private equity, direct investments, and other operating business investments for nearly three decades.  

Beyond his professional career, Brian has a passion for basketball officiating, with over 25 years of experience, including working as an official in several Division I conferences. He later transitioned into a leadership role, serving on the Senior Leadership Officiating Staff multiple conferences, where he helped oversee a group of 150 active Division I referees. His responsibilities included in-season training and development, game performance evaluation, and the recruitment of new and prospective officials. In recognition of his contributions to sports officiating, he was inducted into the Utah Sports Officials Hall of Honor in January 2023.

Brian is a lifelong resident of Utah, growing up in Utah County and moving to Salt Lake County over 30 years ago. He is a proud husband and father of three sons.
