Alex joined the team in 2025 as Executive Assistant/Development Analyst, where he works closely with CEO Lance Bullen. In this dual role, Alex supports high-level executive operations while contributing to the firm’s development efforts through underwriting, research, and strategic planning. He is focused on learning all facets of the business – from deal sourcing to capital strategy – while helping execute day-to-day initiatives.

Prior to joining Colmena, Alex interned with a real estate development firm in Southern California. His exposure to acquisitions and asset management during that time helped solidify his interest in the development process.

Alex’s introduction to real estate came through his early work in the construction field, managing excavation and concrete projects throughout Sun Valley, ID. With experience operating heavy machinery, leading teams, and running job sites, he developed a strong appreciation for the physical execution of real estate. Over time, his interest shifted toward shaping projects from the ground up – on the planning and investment side of the business.

Originally from Sun Valley, Alex is passionate about spending time outdoors. He has a deep background in competitive skiing and also enjoys hiking, backpacking, fishing, and playing soccer.
