Nate Leishman

VP of Development

Nate Leishman joined Colmena Group in 2023 as a Vice President of Development. Nate brings over 25 years of elite corporate commercial real estate experience with him. Nate has a vast knowledge of the industry and enjoys roles ranging from investment, development, asset management, and brokerage. His executive level skills obtained at a real estate conglomerate, and network, coupled with his academic background, and his passion for real estate make him a great addition to the Colmena Team. 

Most recently, Nate was the President and CEO of Pinnacle Real Estate Group, a commercial investment and development company. The investment company specializes in value-add real estate investments, primarily multifamily. In the past couple years, they have acquired 100+ acres of land and entitled over 1,000 multifamily units. In addition, he is the principal broker of Pinnacle Real Estate Brokerage which focuses on commercial transactions.

Prior to Pinnacle Real Estate, Nate spent 14 years under the mentorship of Dell Loy Hansen at Wasatch Group. During his time with Wasatch, he embraced high levels of integrity and commitment. Nate was the principal broker and transacted over 1,500 deals (millions of SF, $1B+ in transactional volume), including leasing, acquisitions and dispositions of commercial assets. Nate has deep complex transactional experience.

Nate is enthusiastic about sourcing and investing in real estate. He finds joy assisting others along their real estate journey. Nate has an abundant mindset and a commitment to treating others right. He believes you can always find a win-win.  He thrives on getting to the finish line. He has been involved on many commercial projects including the Dominion Energy building, Academy Village, Draper Corporate Park, Inovar building, Tech building, Seasons of Layton, Avanti, Altitude and others. From evaluating project level returns, to capital management, to streamlining company operations, Nate’s breadth and depth of expertise delivers performance and balance.

Nate has served on the Utah Real Estate Challenge student mentorship program for years; he has also been a judge. Nate has volunteered to speak at many real estate events and panels.  He also teaches real estate at Utah State University. He is a member of CCIM, ULI, and NAIOP. Nate also supports local charities.

Nate is from Utah. He and his wife Jentre have six amazing children. They also have three dogs, and three cats. They love to travel because it allows them to spend quality time together as a family. They enjoy Utah’s outdoor activities, in particular the mountains. Nate’s hobbies include family, snowboarding, mountain biking, and friends.
