Chuck joined Colmena Group in 2022 as our Real Estate Asset Manager where he developed systems and processes for overseeing various asset classes, with an emphasis on the Senior Living and Hospitality portfolio. In early 2023 he moved into the VP of Operations role.  

Prior to joining Colmena Group, Chuck was President, CEO and partner of Eagle Gate and Provo Colleges where he led the growth of the schools and between the two brands built the largest BSN enrollment in the State of Utah. He was also instrumental in brokering the sale of the schools to a private equity backed school group in 2018, after which he was retained by the group as their COO to lead the continued growth of the organizations. Prior to moving to Utah and leading the Eagle Gate Group of schools he worked for a large, publicly traded school group where he managed the operations of 10 campuses in 6 Western States with over $100MM in annual revenue. Chuck has extensive experience with budgeting, P&L management, marketing, sales, and financing. 

In addition to his career in education, Chuck has been investing in commercial real estate since 2014. He loves being part of a team that is focused on win-win for the consumer and operator. Finding and implementing efficiencies that improve the value to the customer/client, while also increasing the value to the shareholders is a challenge that drives him. 

Chuck earned his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Master of Social Work from the University of Arkansas. Chuck has served on the Board of Directors and is past President of the Utah Association of Private Sector Colleges and Universities. He also served on the Board of Directors of the Northwest Career College Association. His favorite volunteer activity has been coaching youth sports for many years in Meridian, ID and South Jordan, UT. 

Chuck is originally from Arkansas and has an unbridled passion for Razorback Sports. He and his wife love to travel and spend time with their 3 children.
